In 2022 EDM.com referred to us as 'The First US Bass Music label', Muti Music has been a bass music label from the start. Our first release was a tearout breaks tune and an electro-bass tune and by our 10th release we had already included UK Garage, experimental bass tunes and sown the seeds for the emerging Glitch Hop movement. We were one of the first US based labels to release Dubstep tunes in 2006 and we've always had ventures in and out of Drum & Bass, Footwork, Trap and a variety of bass music micro-genres. We created a series of compilations for our 15 Year anniversary that included Bass, Breaks, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Glitch Hop,even Reggae, Dancehall and Dub as we also had the honor of working with Mista Savona and Sizzla and creating a series of remixes that included Gaudi, Dub Phizix, Om Unit, Skeptikal, Spoonbill and many more, and then realized that most of our catalog beyond that could fit into a massive variety of genres.

Our Clipping Paths compilations broke molds and also launched the careers of many producers. The Acid Crunk did much of the same and brought a fresh perspective on a bass music scene that was itching for some evolution at the time. The Bloom Series highlighted the transformative effect of boutique festival culture and the music in it. The 20 Years of Muti compilation brought together old and new Muti artists with brand new tunes to reflect their current styles. He was also part of linking us up with producers like Mr. Bill and we already also had an affiliation with AHEE and continued to work with his on Producer Dojo too.
